I feel so out of the blogging loop lately. Since I don't have my own computer at this very second, I only check this a few times a week. I feel bad that I haven't been keeping up with you girls! But I promise, I'm always thinking of you guys!
Danny's mom has been making boxes for us. At first, I thought it was going to be a small box full of essentials. But HOLY CRAP. She is working on her second (huge) box now..and its full of baking stuff, margarita mix, cleaning stuff...and tons of other stuff.
Her and Danny's step dad are AMAZING grocery shoppers. I wish I had the patience that they do. They are constantly clipping coupons and spend hours at the store. Believe me, I look for sales...but they are ENTHUSIASTS! They went grocery shopping last night...spend $44 and saved $99. OH.MY.GOD. How does that even happen?! A bottle of Karo syrup is usually around $3.00....she bought it for 19 cents! I can't even explain how amazing that is!
I found a website call The Grocery Game. For about $12 every two months, this woman takes the guess work out of your grocery shopping. She gives you the coupons, the sales, and shows you your savings. In the end...most of your stuff is FREE. When we move into our apartment, I plan to sign up for the 4 week free trial and see how we do with it! If we save half as much as his Mom...the $12 will totally be worth it. What do you guys think?
