Ebates Spring Fashion Promo & $300 giveaway
If you're not familiar with how Ebates works, refer to my previous post. I'm happy to see premium department stores like Bloomies, Saks, and Nordstrom (small shoes galore) participating, because some of their designer brands rarely qualify for discounts.
In other news, Ebates wanted to offer my readers another generous giveaway. From now until the end of April, any qualified member (qualified = purchase made through ebates exceeding $25) who signed up - regardless of when - for an account through my referral link is automatically be entered to win. Three winners will each win a $100 gift card of her choice to any of the retailers listed above.
If you're not yet a member, you can sign up here. We each get $5 after a qualified purchase is made.
Disclosure - Ebates is sponsoring this giveaway but I am not affiliated with the company in any other way. For every qualified referral, I receive the referral bonus that is available to all Ebates members.

How to enter:
- Open to public followers of this blog. It's very easy to follow and you do not need to have a blog. Just click the blue "Join this site" button on my right sidebar and sign in via an email, twitter, AIM, or other type of account.

Prizes:
- Essie for J.Crew package of 4 mini nail polishes
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Lippie in Airy Fairy
- Urban Decay shadow in Narcotic
...and possibly a few more goodies.
I loved the polish set so much (see swatches here), I called around to find another set and asked my dear boyfriend to pick it up for you guys : ) Airy Fairy is a lipstick I first saw recommended on Jen's blog, and thanks to two lovely readers Jennifer and DoubleZero, I finally got to try it. It's just as pretty as it's hyped to be, so I bought an extra to give away.
Winner will be drawn on February 14th, 2011 using a random number generator, and winner will have 72 hours to claim her prize. Giveaway is open internationally. Good luck!

My Favorite Things Holiday Giveaway
I'm sure many of us in the States are getting ready for a few days of thanks aka pigging out on turkey, stuffing, sweet potaters and more. My Chinese mom usually substitutes tasty duck for turkey, but I found out she has ambitiously purchased a big bird this y to attempt a traditional Thanksgiving. Darn! I like my Asian duck.
Anyways, I wanted to do a giveaway this week as a tiny way to show my gratitude to all of you for reading and supporting this blog. When I started blogging a little over a year ago, inspired by Alterations Needed, never did I imagine the petite online community would blossom to where it is now (there were ~3 of us back then!). And I sure did not think I would end up making so many friends who share honest opinions, sweet comments, and useful recommendations. So thank you all very much.
Over this year I've been collecting duplicates of some things that I've tried & liked, to share with a lucky reader. I'm not affiliated with any of the below brands; everything was purchased by me. The prize package includes:
1. Rock & Republic pressed blush in Tease (a mauve-pink; my absolutely fave shade)
2. Shu Uemura eylash curler
3. J.Crew "olive moss" leather skinny belt in your choice of S or M (and I can punch extra holes for you)
4. J.Crew flower hair elastic (I have this in black and made it into a pin)
5. Revlon polish in "Vixen" (love, love this color) and 6. Revlon "No Chip" topcoat
7. N.Y.C. liquid eye liner in black and 8. a pair of ELF falsies
Rules:
- Open internationally to public followers of ExtraPetite.com
- Ends midnight EST on December 12, 2010 and a winner will be drawn at random
- Winner will have 72 hours to claim her prize after announcement
How to enter:
1. (Mandatory) Fill out the short form below. Next, leave ONE comment on this post using your follower account, sharing one of your favorite things (be it a beauty product, an article of clothing, a gadget, etc).
2. (Optional) For +1 extra entry, post the button below on your blog or sidebar to spread the love. Unfortunately, blogs or pages made for giveaways will not count as an extra entry.

Giveaway: Win a $100 gift card to Rent The Runway
A while ago a friend told me about Rent the Runway (RTR), but my mundane life hasn't been calling out for fab designer frocks as of late. Although I haven't personally tried out this NYC-based service, I still wanted to share because it's a nifty idea....plus, they are sponsoring an awesome giveaway for you guys!
How it works: Rent designer dresses and jewelry at a fraction of their retail prices. Schedule the item you want online, receive it in the mail, and send it back when your rental period is over (standard is 4 days).
RTR will send you a second size free of charge (although for the extra petite, this doesn't really matter since we want the tiniest size available). The cost per wear is pretty high, but for extra special events I think it is worth it. For the last wedding I attended, I spent $125 for a dress at snooze-able Banana Republic and wore it for 4 hours. For future weddings and fancy dinners, I will definitely consider RTR.
Some more info I noted while exploring the site:
- Shipping costs listed at checkout include postage for both ways (it varies; for Boston it was $12.95)
- For an extra $25, you can choose a second dress to try on ($25 applies for the lower priced item)
- There are online "fit specialists" available for chat so maybe you can get measurements
- You can filter dresses by size & body type (ie. petite) and read user reviews on sizing
- Mandatory $5 insurance fee per dress covers certain damage and stains
- As an FYI, there is tax on rentals
I was thrilled that RTR agreed to sponsor a giveaway for my readers. One of you will win a $100 gift card to this site which should be enough to cover the rental of a nice dress, tax, and shipping.
How to enter - mandatory:
- Be a public follower of this blog. Click the gadget on my sidebar to join using a variety of accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc)
- Have an account on Rent the Runway (sign up takes 1 minute). Sign up directly or use my referral link if you wish.
For 1 extra entry:
- Post the giveaway button above on your sidebar or in a new post. Sorry, pages or blogs made just for giveaways will not count as another entry : ) Here is the html code for the button: <a href="http://www.extrapetite.com/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="183" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGPWgfv0HAzhMlQJLKTmWYUQFZmbuSKr_7RmktzBzvVBSy-vl7KFuHLstLXqnADZS5zZzkG9Mc4LPwrUgYMrGNSQXhfMANKncs4yH9q6emf2hKGZlcXhOQXmS0AzKezlYvh4GW70t2btk/s200/renttherunway_giveaway.jpg" width="200" /></a>
Giveaway is open to readers in the USA and ends Sunday, October 17th. Winner will have 72 hours to claim her prize. Good luck, readers!
