First of all sorry for the lazy 'in the mirror facebook shots' The weather has been so hot lately! I love the colours of this outfit, all pretty spring/summer colours! I got sun burnt from sitting on my computer for an hour, so i was dreading going outside, but i only got brunt a little... which is not good, but i don't understand why i burn so easy? i re apply when i have been in water & re apply every hour, yet i still go beetroot red! i need an SPF 2039340203030.
I cleared out my wardrobe as you can see in the pictures above.. Took longer then i thought, i was tempted just to sleep on everything and do it tomorrow, but i pulled through!
I have been on the hunt down for affordable tickets to London today, as i am going there for a youtube event, after hours of searching i fount one for £7 BARGIN!!... But not one back, so i am just about to try and squeeze my tent into my suitcase.

Fill me with your poison

Blazer- Newlook
Top- Primark
Jeggings- Primark
Necklaces- Topshop
Bag-Vintage

I don't normally wear 'jeggings' or fake eyelashes or scrape my hair back this much, but i am LOVING this look! I felt very sophisticated! These were taken just before i went to an event (more info coming soon) I was scared at first to have my hair like this but its growing on me, the blazer makes a re appearance again!
I wore my black healed brogues with this, which are the only pair of heels i can walk in! My store is going great! I'm keeping on top of all orders, actually quite proud of my self *pat on the back!*
I Don't have much planned this weekend, on Saturday my Boyfriends taking me to the pub, i do say i have been quite enjoying pubs recently, i have fount a love for a larger and lime :)
I hope everyone is well & have lovely weekends.

Sometimes it lasts in love.

Now we moving into the warmer weather i think its time to let go of the loved & trusted chunky knit cardigan and move onto something lighter yet just as comfortable! I have been a big fan of blazers for a while but I only have the trusted black staple.
For spring and summer black is not the colour to wear so I am looking at blazers in light colours, I think this light beige/camel colour is lovely, its light but not to light and will fit in with most of my clothes I have now.
can't quite decide which one i am going to go for, i have my eye on the second one from topshop, although i don't think my bank balance will agree with this, so i'm leaning more towards #4 the H&M £30 job.

I Got a Blog Feature!

I have been featured on SixThirtyThree blog!  This gal is a great writer. She has a love for fashion and does a wonderful job of eloquently weaving her thoughts on fashion with the various treasures she finds. I've told her she should write for fashion mags. You'll find several series on her blog: Outfits of the Week, Earth Friendly Topics, and Features on Handmade Artists. She has people who randomly find her blog online and that's just great! Here's a little big about her...

Helping people motivates me.
I took my love of colors, my ability to write, and my motivation to help others and I created a blog. Creating stories from my life and my imagination, I blend my three passions together into a life blog which hopefully brings added exposure to people who are passionate about and expressing their creative talents.
One year before the recession hit, I found Etsy through Twitter. I instantly died and went to consumer heaven.  Read more from and about this wonderful visionary on her blog.

Handmade and the high street: get ready for the party season

Today, I'm launching a new fashion feature on the blog. It's to highlight how well handmade and the high street (in this case, the virtual high street) sit together.

I've chosen to start with my new
'gothic revival' necklace and earrings.  I think they are real party or occassion pieces, and a bit different to my usual creations, so I've picked some stunning fashion pieces from major retailers to feature alongside.

Both the necklace and the earrings using deep red Czech glass diamond shaped beads and smokey grey bicone crystals.  The necklace also has dark grey hematite semi precious cubes and teardrop crystals.  I think the necklace has a bit of a Gothic look to it, and also reminds me of the sort of style popular in Edwardian times.

Maybe one of you is looking for a real statement outfit for the Christmas celebrations - you couldn't do better than to keep up with the season's trends.  Grey (or gray, if you prefer!) is the new black, and a splash of red just adds to the mix nicely.  Of course, grey is nearly silver, so that's perfect to go with this jewellery set, available in both Folksy and Etsy shops this week.

This satin crepe evening dress in grey from John Lewis has just the right dramatic cowl neckline to support a statement necklace like Gothic Revivial.

You'll need some 'knock-their-socks-off shoes' too. These pewter sandals from Monsoon are just right. Maybe if it's snowing, you take them in a bag to change into!

And taking a purse, mobile and keys is no problem with this stunning ruffle bag from Ben de Lisi at Debenhams. How red is that?

Put them all together and you have a real statement outfit!

Let me know what you think of this feature, won't you?

Many thanks to John Lewis, Monsoon and Debenhams for granting permission to use their images in this post.
