I almost missed it! It's the last day of the month, so my last chance to feature this month's featured artist from the Etsy Bloggers! Ok, well, not really, I've been known to do it the first week of the next month too. *shhh* don't tell anyone! Let's get a cheer for procrastination! Moving on...

Here's three of my favorite items from her shop!

Coming up Tomorrow - Featured Friday!

Etsy Bloggers Featured Artist - Faerie Garden Fancies

Now that I'm getting back "into the flow" it's time to start catching up on my team requirements for the Etsy Bloggers Team! I've always loved these guys, and I'm more than happy to feature this month's featured team member! She's not one of the team mates I know, probably because I've been out of the loop, but I had a lot of fun checking out her shop!

Isn't her shop banner cute? That was that the first clue I was going to love her shop! I thought I'd share my two of her awesome pieces.

Isn't this perfect for St Patricks Day?

And this one is my favorite item...

And last but not least - don't forget to enter this week's giveaway!

Featuring the Fab Miss B!!!

I know - I'm a day late on my Friday Featured Artist - but yesterday was a bad day - and I didn't want to risk completely skipping such a fabulous artist! Becky is also our Featured Etsy Blogger of the Month :D

1. What type of art work do you do?

I create Pipettes! They were inspired by vintage ornaments I've collected for ages. They are made with humble chenille pipe cleaners, but I add lots of luxe embellishments like silk ribbons, antique lace, mother of pearl buttons, feathers, sequins and vintage costume jewelery. Their heads are all carefully hand painted too.

I also love to paint and am constantly making new illustrations, which I sell as prints and greeting cards. The originals are watercolor and ink and they are always whimsical and even a bit silly!

2. How did you get started doing art work?

Ever since I was little, I loved to draw and make things with my hands. The Pipettes originated when I decided to make a pipe cleaner bride and groom for our wedding cake three years ago. I've been making them ever since and they've gone through lots of changes! They've become more elaborate and sophisticated.
3. Do you do any other crafts?

I was trained as a florist while I lived in Chicago, so here and there I dabble in making floral corsages and crowns. I just outfitted an entire wedding party for a dear friend! I also like to cook and take photographs.

4. Is there a story behind your shop name?

My husband and I love to travel and are lucky to have lived all over the world- Kenya, Uganda, China, Chicago, Las Vegas, and now we're trying out life on an island- The Big Island of Hawaii!

We adopted our funny last name- Kazana- while traveling in Africa just after getting married. It's a Swahili word that means "To make a home" and it reminds us that our home is where the other is.

5. What's your favorite piece in your shop right now?

I'm madly in love with Daschshunds- someday I'd love to have a whole gaggle of them running around a farm. But for now, hanging Daisy on my Christmas tree is as close as I can get!

6. Where do you sell your work?
I have two shops on etsy. One for my original Chenille Pipette Dolls and artwork:

and one for Vintage and One of a Kind Finds:

7. Do you blog?

I blog about the inspiration I find around me every day on The Fab Miss B:

Swing by and say hello! I love to meet new folks!

8. Are you on any social networks you'd like to share?

Let's be friends! Here is my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/people/Becky-Larson/1047722678

9. Do you watch or listen to anything while you work? If so, what?

I love listening to music while I work. I often use Pandora radio (http://www.pandora.com), where you can create stations based on your musical preferences. Right now I'm listening to Julie London Radio non-stop. I can't help but create glamorous Pipettes when listening to all those amazing chanteuses from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

10. Tell us one random fact about your self *wink*

I adore champagne and never save it for special occasions. It's far too wonderful for that!

Featuring Designs by Vanessa

Designs by Vanessa is this months featured Etsy Blogger! I had the privilage of interviewing her, and I get to share that with you! Have fun getting to know her :) Click on any of the pictures to be taken to the listings for them.

1. What type of art work do you do?

At the moment I enjoy designing jewelry and paper goods.

2. How did you get started doing art work?

My dad is a talented artist and he got me started with painting and drawing probably before I could walk. I am a family therapist by day and art has quickly become my own form of therapy at the end of a long day.

3. Do you do any other crafts?

I love all types of crafts and I especially love learning new crafts. Lately I have enjoyed working with felt.

4. Is there a story behind your shop name?

My name is Vanessa and the designs are by me! A bit narcissistic and not that original but I still like it lol!

5. What's your favorite piece in your shop right now?

I’m loving my felt birdie cards at the moment.

6. Where do you sell your work?

7. Do you blog?

8. Are you on any social networks you'd like to share?

9. Do you watch or listen to anything while you work? If so, what?

Lately I have been addicted to watching 80’s movies while I craft. I love Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. I know these movies by heart so I don’t have to pay too close attention to them.

10. Tell us one random fact about your self *wink*

Pickles are my favorite food! You said random, right?

Friday's Featured Artist - LazyT Crochet!

This week's artist is also the Etsy Blogger for the month! Tricia of LazyT Crochet has been a part of the team for quite awhile now, and I remember her being very friendly and welcoming when I first started. I had a lot of fun getting to know her better and I hope you do too!

1. What type of art work do you do?

I consider myself to be a fiber artist. I started out with simple cotton and acrylics in classic crochet, but have included a lot more natural fibers and techniques over the past year or two. I like designing knit and crochet shawls, hats, and purses as well as Nuno felted scarves and accessories.

2. How did you get started doing art work?

I taught myself how to crochet and started making dishcloths and potholders for gifts. The family can only wear so many hats, so I started making lots of different things.

3. What's Nuno felting?
I'll probably be blogging about it again soon. This new cuff is wet felted also... (See the picture to the right)

3. Do you do any other crafts?

I do some sewing and often combine yarn and
fabric for projects. I am not very artistic when it comes to drawing, painting, or beading/jewelry work. I do like to add a holiday craft project to brighten up my holday show table each year. Sometimes natural things like potpourri or garlands.

4. What's your favorite piece in your shop right now?

This art shawl is my favorite item in my shop right now. (See the shawl on the left below)
It was fun using the rings to design the edging. My favorite piece that I'm working on right now is a raw felted handbag, felt with wool batts and decorated with glitzy and colorful fibers.

5. Where do you sell your work?

I've had a shop on Etsy for over two years and sell at local shows and events. LazyTcrochet.Etsy.com

6. Do you blog?

Yes, I blog about yarns, patterns, fashions, recipes and more at LazyTcrochet.Blogspot.com

7. Are you on any social networks you'd like to share?

I have a Facebook page at
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/LazyTcrochet/32716500715

8. Do you watch or listen to anything while you work? If so, what?

I sometimes listen to audio books, but haven't in awhile. I do like to catch up on a soap or two.

9. Tell us one random fact about your self *wink*

Hmmm...random random. I don't like taragon. It can totally ruin a dinner out if I order wrong!

Featured Etsy Blogger - Designs by Nora!

It's time again for the etsy bloggers team's featured artist! Woohoo!

This month's featured artist is DesignByNora, and I've actually had the privelage of buying from her! Now generally, as a jewelry artist, I don't buy jewelry. I don't, however, make stud earrings, and that's what my Mom usually wears! So I went searching and bought a couple pairs of flowers like these from Nora. She was great to work with!

Nora also sells some of her uncles Naz's purses in her shop! I liked this one in particular. Can anyone guess why? LOL

And don't forget to check out her blog!

Etsy Blogger of the Month - Donna Pool

You haven't seen me mention too much about the etsy bloggers on this blog lately because...well...I've been behind the ball cuz of my migraines >_> oopsie! But...I'm still not to late to do this months featured blogger! So with out further ado...here she is :)

Donna is one not only extremely talented - her work is diverse! You can find her shop at www.donnapool.etsy.com and in her shop your find all sorts of fun stuff. I had to show off this example of her photography because, well, we all know I'm addicted to purple!

Donna also has tons of cute buttons in her shop. I had a hard time picking - but this one just fits me so perfectly I couldn't resist!

Donna ALSO sews. By hand. Can you believe this awesome ball was sewn by hand????

Want to see more of Donna's awesome work? Don't forget to check out her shop and blog!

Friday's Featured Artist - Story Beader!

Today's featured artist is none other than wonderful Deb of Story Beader! She's a fantastic artist, a member of the etsy bloggers team, and this month's featured team member! I wanted to get to know her a little better, so I interviewed her!

1. Tell us your story, what got you started making jewelry? And what got you selling on-line?

I started making jewelry because I wanted a turquoise necklace and couldn't find one. There was a bead shop down the street, so I went there, and made my own. Then I made a necklace for my mom and a few friends, and found it was a great creative release. "What got me selling online?" I had bought some things on ebay and that was fun - and I like computers. I sold on ebay a little, but didn't like the "feel" of it. There was some conversation about etsy, so I came over - and liked it!

2. Do you make any other crafts?

I've worked with tile and glass before, but I'm not too involved with it. I guess I piddled...

3. What's your favorite piece you have up on etsy right now?

My favorite pieces are the treasure necklaces - I love making them, and they're so colorful and fun. The turtle treasure was my first, so I'm kinda partial to it.

4. Where do you do your work and what do you listen to while you work?

I've taken over the living room. I have a table near the window, and my computer is in that room too. The supplies are within a few steps. I listen to jazz usually, or my classic rock. Sometimes at night when DH isn't around, I'll crank up the tv from the "den" and listen to the news.

5. I know this can be a hard question to answer, but what inspires you?

I think colors inspire me the most. Some of my projects are a mixture of all sorts of bright colors. Others are more subdued, with nature or water images in my thoughts.

6. Tell us one random thing about yourself!

I was a very outgoing girl when I was young. After getting married, I became withdrawn. Since leaving my husband for another, I've become more outgoing again...is that 3 things?

And now here's my a few of my favorite pieces from Deb's shop!
