Designing Queen!

I'm going to be a designing Queen!!!!! Ok, maybe not quite, but I can start working towards being one :P I bought a program called Bead Tool 3 yesterday, and it's for designing bead weaving projects. I'm so excited! I played around with it a little yesterday. I have a LOT to learn, but the potential is enormous! Now I need to work on the design for this months bead weavers competition...and more importantly...now I can work on it :)

Now, just so you can laugh at me, guess what the first design I actually worked up was? An image for my current cross-stitch bookmark. Yup, not good at using things for their intended uses...

I've gotten quite a few things listed this week, for once my "showing" off is mostly new items instead of relistings! Which piece is your favorite?

I have a simply wonderful Mom, and as many of you know, I wouldn't be the artisan that I am with out her influence! She's been making crafts of different types for as long as I can remember, and I can't even begin to tell you how many hours we've spent talking over various projects and exchanging ideas! Now I have the fun of running an etsy shop with her, and she's been incredibly supportive as I've started and run my jewelry business. Thanks Mom :)

Mint Green Book Mark

Feels like I've been going a million miles a minute the last week or so! It's been interesting trying to keep up with it all... Which means I'm so tired that getting good posts written is hard! But I want to write you, so here I am :)

Why am I so tired and busy? Well, the new reason I'm tired is that I just started using a CPAP machine to deal with my Sleep Apnea. I blogged about that on my other blog.

I'm also getting ready to put my stuff out in a consignment store! So I've been weaving and creating like MAD for the last two weeks! I'll try to take a bunch of pictures Friday morning before it all goes into the shop. :) AFTER that I should have a wee bit more time to focus on this blog again :) I'll return to my selling venue series at that point!

What else is keeping me busy? Well, I'm trying to be a good girl and get things up in the shop I share with my Mom - like that beautiful book mark up at the top! I got some more photos today so I should be listing more things in the next few days. :)

I have new things to list in my own etsy shop, but lately I've just been renewing items, because a lot of them are about to expire! It's fun to revisit some of the items I created awhile ago - and still love! Like these earrings :)

Introducing KSTreasures - and LOTS of other Exciting News!

Whew - there's so much exciting news to share with all of you today that I hardly know where to begin! Ok, I do actually have a good idea, I want to tell you about my new shop :D That's right, you heard me, I have a second shop on etsy!

This shop is the brain child of me and my Mom. I'm so excited about it! My Mom is the one who started me off doing crafts, and she is incredibly talented herself! I'm so excited to get to showcase her work, and hopefully earn her some money here and there of course :P

Ok, so the details, our shop address on etsy is kstreasures, and that's short for Kindred Spirit Treasures! My Mom and I have both always loved the Anne of Green Gables books, and we've always been close friends, so the Kindred Spirit part was perfect. "Treasures" is because we are going to be featuring a variety of pieces from both my Mom and I!

Oh - and I can't forget - the beautiful artwork for my avatar and the banner were done by my dear friend Annette of Huckleberry Arts. I get to interview her in this weeks Thursday Spotlight On Show! Come meet her Thursday night at 9pm EST. :)

I've had my first sale of the year! Woohoo! It's not a big sale - but it gets me started on my sales goal for the month :D This is what I sold:
