Post Wedding Update!

Now I get to share all the little details with you..everything that I wanted to keep secret before the big day!

First, my dress! The only person who saw my dress before the big day was my Mom. My bridesmaids drove me insane, they wanted to see it whenever they were at my house! But I would not give in! I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone!

I absolutely LOVE my dress. I loved the whole experience of dress shopping. I went to David's Bridal, my consultant was amazing. She asked me my budget and only showed me dresses that fit that budget. My dress was $549...and because I got it at David's Bridal I got SO many coupons to use on other things (my bridesmaids didn't have to pay full price, jewelery, shoes..everything!) The dress itself was SO COMFORTABLE!!! My biggest fear with strapless is that I will have to pull it up all night..this dress wasn't going anywhere!

Next, the bridesmaids dresses. I forbid the girls to show anyone! That's half the fun of going to a wedding..or atleast I think! We also got these at David's Bridals, for a cheap $80! I let the girls pick their own red heels (my friends all think alike..they all ended up with the same pair..and had NO IDEA!) I picked their jewelery and purse. The color combination scared everyone until they saw it!

I also didn't tell anyone about my centerpieces. I still have a love/hate relationship with them. I saw something like it in a magazine and fell in love with it. I thought I could be crafty and do them myself. Major FAIL. Here..just look at them....

A simple vase with white, blue and red beads...and then a weird stick-like-thing with pictures of us growing up. Sounds like a good idea...but when you try to transport them..THEY FALL APART. So frustrating, and I feel bad for the centerpiece winners!

One of my favorite things was our guestbook...not your average sign your name on the dotted line. I had people drawing and coloring. Check this out!

Out of town guest bags. I didn't really decide to do this until the week before the wedding. Hotel staff say that this is the best bag they have ever seen...most bags just include asprin! Here are the goodies our guests got!

Nicole & Danny water and wine, corkscrew and bottle stopper
Boston snacks and goodies!
Each bag got a different Boston book (like Make Way for Ducklings!)
AND I made 8 batches of cookies to split among all the bags!
One more big surprise was our bathroom toiletry box. This was probably the most creative thing that me and Mom came up with. And it cost a FORTUNE!

 For the Ladies

For the Men
And I'm not sure about the mens but there were definitely condoms missing in from the ladies room!

I'm not saying I'm a professional but I think we threw a awesome wedding...SO, if any of you need planning help..let me know! I have lots of websites and ideas for everything!
