Kindred Connection: PETS!

I haven't done a Kindred Connection in way too long.

Shame on me!

But this week, we're talking about pets!

I couldn't skip the opportunity to put Miley (and Roxy!) in the spotlight!

1) What pets currently reside in your home?

We have a pretty little hound/beagle mix. Her name is Miley and we think she is about 7 months old. She likes to cuddle, chase her tail, do bad things because she will get a bribe-treat to stop, and go through the bathroom trash. The family dog (in Boston) is Roxy. She is a puggle. She will be four in August. She is spoiled, afraid of the water, can jump higher than any person I know and once fell asleep sniffing her own butt.

2) What is one really strange thing your pet does?

I think it's a female dog thing and it's totally nasty. The BOTH like going through the trash when it's "that time of the month." They will dig out tampons and pads, used or not. They like dragging dirty underwear around the house (never guy underwear!) And yes, once we made Miley wear the underwear to teach her a lesson!

3) Now fess up: Give us your nicknames for your pets:

Miley doesn't really have any cool nicknames. I usually call her Little Miss Miley. Roxy has lots of nicknames. Roxstar, Roxy-Roller, Rox-a-doodle. Take a word, add Rox to it...and it's probably one of her nicknames!

4) Are your pets spoiled?

Here's this weeks questions:

1. What is your favorite vacation spot? Disney. Hands down. I love Disney World, I think it has a specific smell, makes me feel a certain way and brings out the best in everyone.

2. What are the three qualities that you most admire about your husband (or if you're not married what are the three qualities you would most desire in a man)? 1) He is beyond patient with me, sometimes my nervousness and worrying scares ME away, yet he is always trying to make me see the better side of things..someones gotta be the optimist! 2) He makes me laugh, and not just in a haha kind of way, but he gets me doing belly laughs every night. 3) He works hard at what he does. He put his full heart into things...I am very proud of him.

3. What has been a meaningful Bible verse to you this week? It's sad, I can't think of a Bible verse right now. But once, I saw a sign in front of a church that said "stop drop and roll won't work in hell." It's something I think about a lot!

4. What is your favorite color(or colors) and why? The colors of an amazing sunset, pinks and oranges. The brightness just makes me feel more alive.

5. What is the funniest thing that happened to you in the last 24 hours?  While grilling out, I saw Danny drop a drumstick on the ground...and seriously consider picking it up and pretending it didn't happen. The look on his face was PRICELESS!

1. If you could describe your desired lifestyle in one word, what would it be? Vacationer. You said "desired" so that seemed right! But realistically? I want to be a great wife, daughter, sister and friend. I want to have the "perfect" job while being the "perfect" wife. And of course, going on as many vacations as possible!

2. What style of home is your "House of Dreams"?

 3. If you could live in a fictional story/movie, which would it be and why? 13 Going on 30...how cool would that be to be able to time travel?

4. Do you prefer coffee or tea? Favorite kind? Is this a serious question? Coffee! If I'm being cheap, any coffee hot/iced with 2 splenda and skim milk. If money and calories are being thrown to the wind...cherry mocha frappaccino WITH whip! (hey, if calories don't matter..I'm going all the way!)

5. Share the last sweet/romantic thing your hubby did for you. Before he leaves for work he always gives me a kiss....and the best part, he shuts the fan off for me so I don't freeze to death!
