Selecting Your Bridesmaids Earrings

There are so many different accessory options for your bridesmaids, but earrings are one of the main jewelry pieces a bridesmaid wears on the wedding day. While necklaces and bracelets can sometimes be tougher to select because they need to coordinate with the dress neck line and bracelets with gloves on occasion, earrings are not swayed by style factors as the others are. While there may be a specific style that would compliment a bridesmaids gown or a wedding style, in almost all cases, bridesmaids earrings are a very safe style choice.

When beginning your hunt for the right pair of bridesmaids earrings you want to first consider the color pallet you are trying to acheive. You may want to consider the the bridesmaids dress colors, their boquet colors and flowers and your wedding colors. The bridesmaids earrings should match your color pallet or compliment it. Finding a store that offers a wide variety of color choices is the smartest place to start. Swarovski brand pearls and crystals are both high quality but also highly vaste in their color selection choices. So finding a designer or store that uses Swarovski brand beads in all of their designs is a big factor to consider. Another key point to selecting the perfect color is to again, find a store or designer that will send you crystal and pearl color samples before you purchase your bridesmaids earrings. This is the best way to ensure that you're getting the exact colors you need to accessorize their look.

Once you've got your color pallet chosen for your bridesmaids jewelry, you can then move onto style. There are quite a few different style groups of earrings available. There's chandelier, cluster, cascade, drop, small drop, linear, chain and more. With so many options, you'll have to consider all of your options. Not all bridesmaids may feel comfortable wearing the same style earring. One bridesmaid may want a more understated look, while another may want all the glitz and drama. You do not have to get the same pair of earrings for each bridesmaid, you can fun with this part. How? You stay to the same color pallet, but pick a different style for each girl. As long as you keep your color choices consistent, then the different styles will just add flavor and interest to their uniqueness.

If you've already chosen to give bridesmaid jewelry as your "thank you" gift for your bridesmaids, then they will love you for it. Jewelry is something that can both be cherished and worn repeatedly to accessorize anything. Giving the gift of jewelry is a nice way to say thank you with a gift that keeps on giving.

5 Tips for Selecting Your Bridesmaids Jewelry

Finding bridesmaid jewelry that suits every girl’s taste might be a hard task for some brides. Just like their bridesmaid gown selection, the selection of their bridesmaid jewelry could turn into a long and drawn out process that most brides stress over. Use the following tips to help you determine what bridesmaid jewelry is perfect for your bridal party.

Choose Your Color Pallet
A great place to start is finding what colors you will be incorporating into your bridesmaid’s jewelry. Of course by now, you’ve already made your wedding color choices and so let those decisions guide you through your bridesmaid jewelry color selections as well. Sometimes you may need to incorporate more than one color, based on availability and the ability to make a nice color match. Once you’ve decided on a color choice, stick with that throughout the entire bridesmaid jewelry selection.

All Different or Everyone Together
Of course everyone is different and with that, everyone’s style is different too. Not all bridesmaids are going to feel comfortable in long dangly chandelier style bridesmaid earrings. While other bridesmaids may want something more dramatic than a simple drop style earring. These are all things to consider while selecting your bridesmaid’s jewelry. First determine if everyone will wear the exact same pieces of jewelry or if you think it’s acceptable for everyone to wear a more personal piece that reflects their style and personality. After you’ve determined this factor, your hunt for the right pieces will go much smoother.

Consider the Style
There are a large variety of different jewelry styles out there. With necklaces you must consider the neckline of the gown your bridesmaids will be wearing. If it’s a strapless dress, then just about any necklace will match beautifully. However; if your girls are wearing a halter dress, a necklace all together might not be the right accessory option. You need to take into consideration the look you desire for your bridesmaids and carry that throughout your selections process.

Size Does Matter
Finding a jewelry designer and company that can suit your sizing needs is key to making the right fit for each girl. Just as all of their dress sizes are different, so is their bracelet and necklace length sizes. You need to find a designer or company that allows you to make custom size selections for both bracelets and necklaces. Another item to consider is that not all bridesmaids may have their ears pierced. If this is the case, and wearing earrings for all of the girls are a must, then finding a company that offers clip on options is also a great place to purchase your bridesmaid’s jewelry.

Gift Wrap Please
While you may plan on giving your jewelry as gifts, not all brides consider this their only “thank you” gift. Find a jewelry company that takes each bridesmaid’s jewelry pieces and wraps them up individually for each bridesmaid. This is a courtesy service that companies should and do offer. Find the store and company that will provide you with these above and beyond services.

While picking out the bridesmaid’s jewelry they will wear on your wedding day, keep in mind these key points and hints to help you find the perfect piece for each girl. Jewelry is something that is attached to memories of the day it is worn and who gave it to them. Your bridesmaids will cherish their bridesmaid’s jewelry if you take the time to select pieces that they both will love on your wedding day, but love to wear again after the big event is over.

Bridesmaids Jewelry Gifts – A Personal Touch that will Last

Bridesmaids are included in our wedding because we need friends and family that love us and support our life decisions. Because we take the time to select our closest friends and family members to stand with us, we need to show our thanks for their time, love and support. The most obvious choice as a thank you gift that is part of a brides wedding budget to begin with is their bridesmaids jewelry.

Giving the gift of bridesmaids jewelry is an excellent way to add to their accessory collection with a personal piece of jewelry that you design just for them. There are multiple ways of personalizing their jewelry, while still matching your wedding colors and style. Whether you get your bridesmaids a complete jewelry set or just a few pieces, there are many combinations that you can mix together to find a great fit for your wedding and the different styles of jewelry.

Earrings are a great place to start when beginning the jewelry selection process. Finding a bridesmaids jewelry company that offers custom color selections is key, but a company that also offers clip on earrings is a good idea because not all bridesmaids will have pierced ears. There are so many different styles of earrings from chandelier to drop, cascade, cluster, linear and chain. Match your bridesmaids earrings selections with their personalities. Not every female wants huge dangly earrings, it just doesn’t suite everyone’s style. Some of your bridesmaids may have an over the top personality and love big bold earrings, that’s where you match up the earring style with their personality.

Because you may not be selecting the same pair of earrings for every bridesmaid, keeping the same color scheme is a fantastic way of coordinating everyone’s look with their gowns, their style and your wedding colors. This hint is well suited for bracelets, necklaces and hair accessories as well. If you keep your color scheme consistent, the looks will be great together.

Depending upon your bridesmaids gown choice, you may or may not be able to wear a necklace. This is where selecting between, or both, a bridesmaid necklace and bracelet comes into play. There are many styles of necklaces from y drop, pendant, single strand, multi strand, chunky and illusion necklaces. Finding a style that suits your gown style and your bridesmaids style is yet another factor here. You will want to match your necklaces and bracelet selections to the bridesmaid’s style as well, while keeping your color scheme in coordination.

Bridesmaid jewelry can be a really great way to thank your bridesmaids for the time they have invested in you and your wedding. It is a gift that is both thoughtful and can be worn again after the wedding. If you select bridesmaid jewelry that fits each bridesmaid’s personality and tastes, you’ll find you’re going to see them wearing their bridesmaids jewelry to other events and occasions.

Hair Accessories for Brides & Bridesmaids

Selecting your hair accessories for your special day is an important final touch that will bring your entire look together. There are a few items to consider when selecting your hair accessories.

The first item to think about is the dress. Does your beautiful gown have any beading on it at all? Are there pearls, crystals, or rhinestones? If your gown does have embellishments on it, then use that as a starting point for your hair accessories. If you have pearls or crystals or both, select hair accessories that have those same pearls and crystals, as well as in the same color palette.

The second item to consider is what type of girl are you. Are you a tiara girl? Do you prefer something a little less understated, but still want that elegant and sparkly addition? Although tiaras are a traditional choice for many brides, not everyone feels totally comfortable in them. If you are that girl, a different hair accessory is the way to go. There are many other options which include hair combs, hair vines, hair pins and head bands.

Taking a simple single pearl or single crystal hairpin and adding about 6 – 8 of them to an up do adds a great splash of color and sparkle that looks great and is not overdone. Hair combs are a great choice for the side of a partial up do, to place on the inside seam of a French twist or on top of a chignon. A hair vine is a nice option to wrap around the side of the hair or work into a bun.

There are many hair jewelry accessory options for brides. If you are not to sure about a tiara, you now know that are multiple ways to add that fancy sparkle to your hair to finish off your look and coordinate your colors.

Accessorizing your look with jewelry – the bride’s guide

For a bride, adding the jewelry to finish off her look is that final touch that brings the entire ensemble together. There are a few items to consider when selecting your bridal jewelry that will help you narrow down your selections.

First, consider your dress. Is your dress white, ivory, champagne? Select pearls and crystals with that color scheme when thinking about your jewelry. Does your dress have a pretty embellishment of crystals or crystals and pearls together? You are going to want to translate that directly to your bridal jewelry. In addition, consider your wedding band and engagement ring. Are you wearing gold or silver colored bands? Select bridal jewelry with the same metal tones to keep your look congruent.

Secondly, what style neckline does your beautiful bridal gown have? The necklace style you choose should coordinate with the neck style your gown has. For example, if you have an open back gown, then a beautiful long lariat style necklace would be the perfect way to accessorize with that gown. Many bridal gowns are strapless, almost any style necklace can match with a strapless gown. If you are looking for a simple look, go with a single strand or y drop pendant style necklace. If you are looking for a more dramatic flair, choose a choker or a multiple strand necklace with beautiful beading.

The third and item to consider is finding a bracelet and/or a pair of great earrings to match that fabulous necklace you’ve chosen. There are a great variety of options for earrings, from chandelier and linear earrings to drop styles and posts. As long as you keep your color scheme congruent throughout, you really can’t choose the wrong pair. A bracelet is that final touch that brings your whole look together. Follow the same rules as with the earrings and your color selections will sparkle and shine together.

Lastly, choose jewelry that is sized right. Finding a jewelry designer that can create beautiful bracelets and necklaces that actually fit the way you need them to is key. If you have a long neck and a plunging neckline, you may need that twenty inch necklace, but if you are looking for a shorter style necklace, the option needs to be there so you look put together.

What ever jewelry you choose to wear will become a great keepsake for you and your family. Wearing your bridal jewelry after the wedding is a great way to keep that special day and all of those memories alive forever. It’s nice on anniversaries to take out that necklace, earring or bracelet that you wore on your most special day to remind each other of the commitment you made together.
