You Inspire Me: Neidy's Infinite Playlist: Being a Marine's Girl

Neidy is my inspiration for this week. Neidy's blog, Neidy's Infinite Playlist: Being a Marine's Girl, is so much fun, every post ends with great music...most of which I have never heard of, but always end up loving! Neidy is a film major, a writer and a Marine girlfriend. Stop by her blog for a good read and for awesome music recommendations!

Neidy's movie recommendation was Paperheart. I was excited to watch it because I think Michael Cera is absolutely adorable!

The movie is romantic comedy starring Charlyne Yi and Michael Cera as fictionalized versions of themselves based on their rumored relationship. The idea for the movie was based Charlyne's idea for a documentary, but then it was decided to add a fictionalized storyline.

The question of the movie is, does true love really exist? My only question was "are they acting or not?!" I couldn't tell. Either they are awful actors or they talk really strange in real life. I was still confused and even after googling it...I'm still not sure!

Because of my question, the movie was a little painful to watch. It was a cute storyline, but unless you like this style of movie, you will probably find yourself being bored with it.

Neidy's book recommendation was Girls in Trucks by Katie Crouch. I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fast read, every page was perfect. There was nothing I disliked about this book.

Sarah is a debutante wild child. Sarah is from the South, transplants herself into Northern life, and eventually ends back in the South. Fling after fling, bad choice after bad choice, this book is perfectly written.

Many of the reviews I read only liked the parts that are set in the South. Me, on the other hand, love the Northern parts! There is an entire chapter called "North." It was my favorite chapter. The chapter talks about how people with accents are stared at. And it's so true that people "up north" dress different! Every time I leave my house I swear people are looking at my outfit like I got dressed in the dark!

I 110% recommend this book. I promise, you will fly threw it and you will love it!

Neidy's food recommendation was pesto chicken with rice and plantains. I love plantains...when I'm in a restaurant. This was my first time buying them, and I was expecting to peel it like a banana...but apparently the peel is a little tougher. Or maybe I just don't know what a ripe plantain is! Anyway the meal was so simple and yummy. I covered the chicken breast with pesto and baked it while the rice was boiling and the plantains were frying. The plantains tasted like french fries! And they definitely don't when I get them in a restaurant. Very yummy meal!

I promise it tasted better than it looks!

Thank you so much for these recommendations! I loved the book and the dinner! Have I mentioned how much fun I'm having with this?!
