I Heart Love

William and Kate released their engagement pictures over the weekend.

So, after seeing them I decided I wanted to share some of my friends engagement pictures.
Thanks to everyone who let me use their pictures!

I love love and being in love.
(and I have some super good looking friends, don't you think?!)

Home Life

I've been in Massachusetts for two weeks and I'm loving it. I have been so busy with planning our wedding, working, Christmas shopping/parties, and catching up with my friends. And to top things off, I got a little sick over the weekend. Myself inflicted stomach pains started when I decided to eat two Fiber One bars a day, for a month..then decided to take Correctol. FYI: Always research side effects before taking medicine. Seriously thought I was dying. Dad wanted to take me to the hospital. All I wanted to do was cry. Thank God that's over and done with!

I went for dress alterations on Sunday! Wearing the entire outfit, complete with shoes, made me feel absolutely amazing. I can't wait to walk down the aisle in it! And my bridesmaids are going to look so beautiful, I love the dresses we decided on! We are also having a flower girl and ringer bearer. Of course, Kaleb will be the ring bearer. And Danny's niece will be the flower girl. It's going to be way cute!

I miss Danny a lot. We missed out on two weekends together. That's four nights of hugs, kisses and pillow talk. Might not seem like a lot, but when your used to seeing someone every weekend..it kinda sucks! I can't wait for Christmas Eve for Santa to bring him to me!

And a huge congrats to fellow blogger and USMC girlfriend, Allie, on her recent engagement! You guys are way cute and I'm so happy for you guys!

The Ohio Update

First, lets just say...never start a roadtrip on a holiday during rush hour..especially when there are a billion college campus in your area. Our eight hour trip turned into a almost a twelve hour trip.

Danny's family was so excited to see him, he hasn't been home in a year! We had Thanksgiving dinner at his grandmothers house with his Mom's family. Danny made the big "we're getting married" annoucement, which I thought went well. But apparently his grandmother wasn't too please...but Danny's Mom and step-Dad stuck up for us. I love those two. Atleast we have people on our side! Later that day we went to Danny's Dad's side of the family.

It has always been tradition in my family to see a movie on Thanksgiving night...I was so excited when we decided to take Kaleb to see a movie!

I didn't take part in Black Friday events, large crowds in stores is NOT my thing. HOWEVER! Danny's Mom and step-Dad picked up some awesome things for me and Danny! A flatware set, a quesedilia maker, electric skillet, spice rack and some other stuff! SO EXCITING!

Friday night we were supposed to get drinks with Danny's sister and some friends. But I KNEW it wouldn't happen. I knew Kaleb wouldn't want his Daddy to leave. Danny was a little dissapointed that he didn't get to go out, but it ended up being a good night. I loved seeing the two of them together and having fun.  Danny is a great Dad.

I made breakfast Saturday morning,  chocolate chip pancakes...Kaleb said he has never had them before! Which just showed me that Ohio really is under a giant rock! Then we took his to see Santa..such a cute picture!

Saturday night we went out with Danny's Dad for dinner. It literally took Danny the entire trip before he told his Dad we were getting married. I was a little upset that he didn't want to tell him, he alluded that his Dad "wouldn't even care." It hurt a little that someone might not care about something this big. But his Dad took it well, and didn't have anything negative to say. He was all over Danny though about the security clearance/graduation thing. It was very strange.

We left Ohio late Saturday night so we wouldn't hit traffic...a good idea because his Mom was in traffic ALL day yesterday.

Yesterday we were laaaaazy all day. And then went out for sushi to celebrate my birthday. I'm sad I won't get to see him for my birthday..or for the rest of the month for that matter. I won't see him again until December 23. The longest we have been apart. But atleast I'll see him for Christmas AND New Years!

Tomorrow is my 24th birthday and I'm flying home to Boston! SO SO excited!

Our Pictures!

I am THRILLED with Anna May's work. I am totally in love with all of our pictures. I can't even choose a favorite! Out of 94 pictures, these two are the ones I find myself constantly staring at. I think it has something to do with the coloring of the pictures, they have a very romantic feel to them!

Anna May is going to fly to Boston and photograph our wedding too! I can't wait to see what she comes up with for that! I KNOW they are going to be beautiful! She is so excited to do a military wedding. While she is up there, my uncle wants her to do his engagement pictures. I'm so excited to share Anna May with him, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with for their pictures!

A Little Tease!

Anna sent us six pictures after our engagement shoot. This one is my favorite! I can't wait until she sends us the rest! We had SUCH a good time doing them! She said that Danny has been the only guy to give suggestions on how he wants pictures taken..and that she thinks we are SUCH a cute couple. She is willing to fly to Boston to take our wedding pictures! We'll see how the rest of the pictures come out and then we'll decide! This is so exciting!

AMAZING DAY!

I am having SUCH a good day!

1) Got my ring back from the jeweler
2) Seeing Veronica for the first time since MAY
3) BOSTON TONIGHT!

and most importantly:
DANNY GOT STATIONED AT CHERRY POINT!!!!!

That means: NO CALIFORNIA OR HAWAII!

You have NO idea how excited I am!!!!!

To top off my amazing day, I just got a lottery ticket...here's to hoping I win 200 million bucks!

Home Sweet Home

I touched down in Boston around 11:30 this morning. My sister was the first person I saw. She started asking me questions about Danny and when we'll know where he will be stationed. I thought that was the perfect chance to tell her about the engagement. Her first reaction "OH MY GOD, I'M GOING TO PUKE." Her second was "I'm in the wedding right?" Then I showed her my ring. We talked about how I was going to tell Mom and Dad and what we thought there reactions were going to be. I was SO nervous to tell them.

I walked in the house and Mom said "whats new?" I got stupid grin on my face, then Michelle got a stupid grin..and you could tell Mom was like "oh no, whats going on?" So I told her and showed her my ring. I wish I could say there were tears of joy or that she was WAY excited. It was the reaction I was expecting though, "it's too soon." Believe me, I know it's soon. But how do you put a timestamp on love? She eventually loosened up a little and told me I had to tell Dad sooner rather than later. We talked about how he was probably going to cry.

Dad comes home, I talk to him in his room and he totally looked like he was going to cry. Again, "it's too soon" and not really all that excited. He said it was the last thing he expected me to tell him and that I don't really know Danny. Which I think is insane. I think he only thinks that way because he doesn't see us on a day-to-day basis. I understand that he doesn't really know Danny, but I think he should trust me and know that I am making the right choice. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with Danny.

I told my grandparents, they are way excited. Nana has probably already booked a hall and a wedding band. She is a nutcase.

Katie said something to me earlier that made my heart skip a beat. I wish I saved the text message so I could quote it exactly. She said that she has never seen a guy love (or was it look?) at someone the way Danny loves (or looks?) at me. It made me happy. I'm glad other people can see how much we love each other.

I'll post pictures of my ring soon!

OOH!

I have something shiny and new! One guess on what it is!
