Let me introduce you to Allure Pendant from a very talented artist Colette Kimon! This beautiful Onyx pendant was wire wrapped with various gauges of sterling silver wire. The black against the sterling silver is absolutely beautiful and elegant!
Colette became interested in jewelry making in 2004 while she was unemployed. She started with beaded jewelry and quickly became fascinated with wire wrapping, and she hasn't stopped since then. She has bought countless books, tutorials, wire magzines in her quest to learning. She is mostly self taught, and love learning something new every day.
The design started with a beautiful onyx cabochon. She wanted to wrap it in a way that was a little unusual without hiding too much of the beautiful stone. What she had in mind was to graciously weave the wire around the stone, like a natural flow of water. Colette used wire wrapping and figure 8 wire weaving technique to come up with this beautiful design. I must say the cleverly designed jewelry is of great workmanship and brings out the best of the stone!
