How To Make Beaded Rings

Hello everyone! On my article, “I Am Going to Learn and Make a Ring, Too!!!” I featured wire work techniques in making a ring. I also mentioned that I haven’t made a ring for myself or either for my clients and friends so I decided to learn and try out the free tutorial videos found at DiyLessons. I also promised to feature at Handmade Jewelry Club the ring that I will make, if I can make one, but it seems a little harder than I think. I need more practice when it comes to wire work techniques and so I decided to just make a ring using bead weaving techniques.

Here is a similar beaded ring that I have found on the net

Woven Seed Bead Rings by NELKIN DESIGNS

Laura of NELKIN DESIGNS has made these cute rings with the 4-H group using wires and opposite direction bead weaving techniques. I’m not so sure if it’s RAW but the ring turned out looking great that even kids can do it. Really, perfect as a bonding activity for the families like what Laura did with the 4-H group.

If you want to try this out with your kids, Laura is kind enough to share the free tutorial in her blog, NELKIN DESIGNS.

Now, here is my version of a beaded ring.

With my version, I used RAW bead weaving technique. I used seed beads, rounded beads and used Swarovski to add some glitter on the ring. I also used nylon thread or fireline instead of wires. It fits snuggly on my finger and I feel great that I am able to make a ring for myself, finally! I know the pictures look a little bit blurry but I’ll post new pictures on my next posts. The steps are just easy and fit for beginners, too!

If you like the design I would be happy to hear it from you and I’ll share the tutorial for free!

Eagerly waiting for your comments

Cheers!
