What inspires you to create your fabulous pieces?
DesignsByReese: I am inspired by colors and shapes that I see in my everyday life, everything ranging from nature to curves and angles!
What do you do to overcome the creativity-stealing brick wall?
DesignsByReese: When I find myself at a creative block, I simply step away from my bench and do something else. My time away may last 20 minutes or a few weeks. Eventually I come back with a lot of new ideas and renewed energy.
what is your favorite part of the creative process?
DesignsByReese: My favorite part of the creative process is THE CREATIVE PROCESS. I love seeing a sketch that I dreamed up come to life in metal!
What do you listen to while you create?
DesignsByReese: I think I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't listen to anything when I work. My shop is usually quiet, except for normal household noises. Even if I have music playing, I rarely realize that it is on. I'm very focused!
Do you have any advice for fellow-Etsians?
DesignsByReese: Stick to what you love and the rest will usually fall into place. Don't let the mundane parts of business steal your creativity.
