Let's meet Amanda Kenney

Amanda has made jewelry since she was much younger. Then it was elastic cord and beads for necklaces and bracelets and an occasional pair of beaded earrings and metal wiring. Years went by and jewelry making was more of an occasional gift giving experience, rather than a hobby, much less a business. But, almost a year ago, her and her husband bought there house in a new city to them. When exploring the area, she found many antique shops and thrift stores that sold an abundance of vintage materials and antique jewelry pieces. And with that, an interest yet again peaked and she started up what is now her jewelry business. And as she has expanded and branched also in photography over the years, she very much enjoys setting up the photos and taking the photographs of her jewelry to post in her shop and blog.

She has expanded her style and experience much over the years. Some pieces are more modern and newly made. While others, and possibly her favorite jewelry making pass time, is with the reconstruction of vintage materials that have been broken or need some adjustment and additional parts. For instance, an old vintage earring can become quite the pendant on a lovely antique or modern handmade chain. Sometimes a little hammering, cleaning or any little adjustment can go a long way.
