Walking in her mother's footsteps, Robin began sewing as a child under the instruction of her mother. However, 10 years ago she was instructed in the art of quilting and has worked the past 10 years perfecting her skills and techniques. Being the mother of three children from middle school to college age, Robin manages to work in about 10 to 15 hours a week creating her quilted gems. The most satisfying part of this time for her is picking out fabrics for her latest creations and seeing them coming to frutition.

When she is not creating, Robin can be found reading, spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling. She stated that her favorite part of selling her creations over the holidays is that she is then able to buy gifts for family and friends with the money she earns.
