Zodiac Pendant Wire Jewelry (Part 1)

This lesson shows how to make pendant constructed over a circular armature wrapped by wire and beads. The center part of the pendant can be attached with a zodiac shaped wire. This tutorial is using Aries as the Zodiac sign in illustrating the jewelry making process.


Materials: 4 inches 18 ga (1mm) round soft wire.
50 inches 26 ga (0.4mm) round soft wire.
3 inches 18 ga (1mm) round soft wire.
15 4mm round beads

Tools:

Thick wooden dowel, lipstick or pen
Round nose pliers
Wire cutters
Flat nose pliers
Hammer


Step 1: Forming Aries shaped wire component.
Cut a 3-inch 18 ga (1mm) round soft wire. Use flat nose pliers to fold the wire.

Step 2: Forming Aries shaped wire component. To close the wire nicely, use the pliers to press the end of the wire.

Step 3: Forming Aries shaped wire component. Open the wire as shown in picture.

Step 4: Forming Aries shaped wire componentUse round nose pliers to make a spiral at the right side.

Step 5: Forming Aries shaped wire component.
Use round nose pliers to make a spiral at the left side. You are done with the Aries shaped wire component. Attach it the circular to make a beautiful Aries Pendant.

We will refer to this component as Aries in this tutorial.
Put this aside when you are done. You will use it when you reach step 15.
