Life is Good

See that guy? Up there on the stage? That's Bert Jacobs. He was the speaker at my 2008 college graduation. At the time I wasn't sure what the "Life is Good" guy could possibly have to offer at my college graduation. Two years later..I still carry his message with me.

In the middle of his speech he took out a Frisbee. He started tossing it around. His message? Even though we are college graduates, the most important thing is having fun and making friends. Pull out a Frisbee, throw it around, each person who catches the Frisbee is a new friend.

Bert went one step further, he had shirts made for every single graduate. True, they sell the graduate shirts in the stores..but ours have the school name on them. I proudly wear mine, I love my school and I love the Life is Good message.

What is the Life is Good message? Look at any of their shirts and it's clear to see why life is good. In our house alone we have the Jake Putter shirt and the Game On shirt. Miley has a Life is Good Frisbee (which is amazing, that dog chews and abuses it and it barely has a scratch on it.) Danny also has Life is Good golf balls. All of these things are great quality and always used in our house.

What do I own? Bags. I love Life is Good bags. My everyday bag is a knit tote. It's the perfect size for someone who likes to travel with their planner, wallet, and lots other extra goodies! And it's easy to clean. Perfect for a slob like me!

Then there is this gem. The Liberty Tote. This awesome beach bag is part of the Red, White and True line. As a Marine wife, I proudly carry this bag. It is perfect for the beach, it even has pockets to keep my camera and phone safe from the sand!

I truly feel that this company is amazing. They have their own Kids Foundation, that is "committed to helping young children overcome life-threatening challenges such as extreme poverty, violence, illness and natural disasters." You can read more about the foundation here. And if you are going to be in the Canton, Massachusetts area on September 11th and 12th, check out the Life is Good Festival. Jason Mraz is the headliner and all proceeds go to the Kids Foundation!

The next time you are having a bad day, just look at the contagious grin on their shirts and remember LIFE IS GOOD.
